Change Facebook News Feed Privacy Settings to Hide Your “Recent Activity” From Your Friends 2011

townsvillesocialmediamarketing.com – Don’t let your Friends see your recent activity on Facebook. Did you know that every time you LIKE another page or change your Relationship Status, it appears on your Facebook Wall and goes out to all your Facebook Friends via their News Feed? Yes, and it can be very annoying, not to mention a little invasive. I found a way to stop these posts being seen by your Friends. If you want to disable these recent activity posts appearing on your Friends news feeds, then follow these steps:- HIDE “RELATIONSHIP STATUS” ACTIVITY To disable the recent activity posts and prevent people from seeing a Recent Activity story about a profile change you make to your relationship status, follow these steps:- Login to your Personal Profile; Account – Privacy Settings – “Sharing on Facebook” click on “Customize Settings”; Under the “Things I Share” click on the dropdown next to “Relationships” and select “Customize” and then “Make this visible to” and select “Only Me” from the drop dropdown list the “Save Setting”. You will still be able to view a Recent Activity story about your relationship change, but no one else will. HIDE “LIKES, ACTIVITES AND OTHER CONNECTIONS” ACTIVITY POSTS To stop automatic posting to your Wall each time you “LIKE” a Page or other activities and prevent people from seeing a Recent Activity story about your likes, activities and other connections, follow these steps: – Login to your Personal Profile; Account – Privacy Settings

  4. I want to turn them back on as well been trying for weeks cant find anything
Facebook sucks, but like everyone else we have to keep our profiles up or lose contact with certain people 🙁

  5. does anyone know how to stop your comments on someone’s wall to NOT show up on EVERYONE’S NEWS FEED? It really pisses me off

  6. “whenever i comment on someones picture, it shows? up on peoples newsfeed. how do i change that?”

I would like to know the answer to this question too. Whenever I comment on ANYTHING on Fb, it shows up in other peoples (my friends) newsfeed. I don’t like that.

  7. But when you hide your friends list, no one will see who your contacts are. I just want to hide the recent activity when I have just added a friend, without closing my wall altogether. Is that not possible? I am fine with other friends browsing through my list of contacts, but I just don’t want to alert anyone when I am adding people.

  8. Hello,

I have set my facebook page up to were no one can my recent activity on my wall. Will also prevent people from seeing any new friends in my newsfeed also? I have set my page up were I can only see my friends. Please let me know.

  9. is there a way for you to be able to post a comment etc. on a group or page wall without it being seen by your friends? (as in on their newsfeed and such)

  10. How do I hide my comments I sent to other people. Like my friends, girlfriend can see what comments I have sent to other people or thier photos. I need ot hide this. 🙁
